A Simple Meal for a Cold Winter's Evening

Ingredients:
1 lb of beef cut into small pieces
4 onions sliced
4 carrots cut in thin strips about 4" in length
1 1/2 cups of burgundy wine
4 cups of beef broth
2 T butter
2 T flour
Salt/Pepper

Melt butter in dutch over, add beef, carrots and onion, let cook for about ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the flour, stir well, let cook for a few minutes.  Add the burgundy wine, stir, scraping the bottom of the pan, cover and let simmer for ten minutes.  Add the beef broth, stir, scraping the bottom of the pan, cover and let simmer for several hours until beef is fall apart tender.
Serve in a bowl  with a thick slice of  fresh homemade bread and butter on the side for dipping!
